Smoke alarms/carbon monoxide detectors recalled
2:32 p.m., Sept. 15, 2014--The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Sept. 11 that some residential smoke alarms produced by Kidde have been recalled because they could fail to alert consumers of a fire or a carbon monoxide incident after a power outage.
The recall affects about 1.2 million units in the United States.
