Pancakes for Parkinson's event to raise money for Michael J. Fox Foundation
1:27 p.m., Sept. 15, 2014--Several faculty members in the University of Delaware College of Health Sciences have teamed with Christiana Care Rehabilitation Services to participate in the Delaware Pancakes for Parkinson’s event on Saturday, Sept. 20, at Sanford School in Hockessin.
“Last year, this event raised over $100,000, and we hope to top that amount this year,” says Barbara Habermann, Nannie Longfellow Professor of Nursing. “Our team, UD & CCHS Stacking Up the Platefor PD, will be flipping pancakes that morning to raise money for Team Fox, and all dollars raised will go directly to Parkinson’s disease research supported by the Michael J. Fox Foundation.”
