University's annual IT Tech Fair has been scheduled for Oct. 28

10:35 a.m., Sept. 25, 2014--University of Delaware Information Technologies (IT) invites faculty and staff to explore the ways technology can help them, their clients and their students by attending the annual IT Tech Fair to be held from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 28, in the Multipurpose Rooms of the Trabant University Center. Lunch will be provided.

The Tech Fair is a unique opportunity for faculty and staff to familiarize themselves with the technology services offered by the University. UD staff members who provide technology support and manage central systems will be available to answer questions, engage in short discussions and help participants have hands-on experience with different technology tools.

June 6: UDid It! Picnic

All UD faculty and staff members are invited to attend the annual UDid It! employee appreciation picnic, set from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday, June 6, on The Green.

If you are using two-factor authentication (2FA), even if a hacker has your password, your information is probably safe.

This year’s event will include representatives from many campus units that provide support for various technologies:

  • Information Technologies,
  • University of Delaware Library and the Library's Student Multimedia Design Center,
  • Human Resources,
  • Procurement,
  • Office of Communications and Marketing,
  • Registrar’s Office, and
  • Disabilities Support.

In addition, representatives from Apple, Dell, and Digital Office Solutions will be there to demonstrate some of their products to University employees.

The goal is to offer something for everyone, giving members of the campus community the opportunity to learn about and test new technology while enjoying a light lunch.

Those who plan to attend are encouraged to register online so organizers can make sure to provide enough lunch for all. Registered participants will also be eligible to win an iPad or other door prizes.
