Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering marks centennial
3:37 p.m., Sept. 16, 2014--The University of Delaware’s Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering will celebrate 100 years of innovation with an alumni reunion this weekend, Sept. 19-21, in honor of the department’s centennial.
UD established a major in chemical engineering in 1914. A century later, the department is one of the top chemical engineering programs in the United States.

A highlight during the weekend will be a departmental history presentation featuring Reggie Blaszczyk, who authored the book 100 Years of Innovation: A Legacy of Pedagogy and Research, a history of chemical engineering at UD.
Other weekend activities on the Newark campus include an open house, campus tours, interactive sessions on departmental education and research, a golf outing, excursions to local attractions and a centennial banquet, among other things.
