The first incident involved two UD students and occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20, at South College Avenue near Winslow Road. The students were walking south on South College, when an unknown black male suspect approached them. The suspect displayed a black handgun and demanded their cell phones. After the victims turned over their phones, the suspect ran west on Winslow Road.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20-25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a muscular build, short black hair with a goatee, and wearing a light-colored T-shirt and jeans.

The second incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 21, on Tyre Avenue, just south of East Main Street. A UD English Language Institute student was walking north on Tyre Avenue holding his cell phone when he was approached by a black male suspect. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s cell phone. The victim complied, and the suspect then ordered the victim to go south down Tyre Avenue, and the suspect then fled the area, possibly toward Main Street.

The suspect in this case is described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old with a large build, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, having a full beard and wearing a black shirt (possibly a jacket) and black basketball shorts.
