Science Cafe to feature presentation on 'Autism and the Gut-Brain Connection'
10:31 a.m., Oct. 22, 2014--Prasad Dhurjati, professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering at the University of Delaware, will discuss “Autism and the Gut-Brain Connection” at a Science Café presentation at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29, in the first floor atrium of the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Laboratory (ISE Lab).
Dhurjati has taken a systems biology approach to the study of autism spectrum disorders. An article on his work was published in the March 13 issue of the Journal of Medical Hypotheses.

Science Café is free and open to the public. Food and refreshments will be served.
Science Cafe is organized by the Center for Science, Ethics and Public Policy, with the next presentation scheduled Nov. 3. The program is supported by the National Science Foundation EPSCoR program and the Department of Philosophy.
