REP, Department of Theatre announce costume sale at Hartshorn
10:08 a.m., Oct. 16, 2014--Monkeys, pirates, kingly robes, princess gowns and French army uniforms are just a few of the items available to the public at a large costume sale to be hosted by the University of Delaware’s Resident Ensemble Players and the Department of Theatre on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24-25.
The sale will be held from 2-7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 24, and from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25, in Hartshorn Hall.

Hundreds of items from past theatre productions are on sale just in time for Halloween, and 18th century coats and breeches, Victorian style dresses and frock coats, prisoner jackets, long faux-leather gangster coats, and royal robes of every length can be found.
Nana the dog from Peter Pan, fairies from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, demon masks from Faust, and dozens of knee-high leather boots from Shakespeare’s histories are just a few of the items for sale.

The majority of items are priced between $1 and $25. A separate selection of specialty costumes will also be available at a higher value. Customers with a valid University of Delaware identification card will receive 10 percent off their total purchase.
The costume sale takes place in the first floor rehearsal room of Hartshorn Hall, at the corner of Academy Street and East Park Place on the UD campus in Newark. GPS fans can use “600 Academy Street, 19716” to locate the building. The entrance can be accessed via the west double doors facing the open field along East Park Place.
Guests are encouraged to park in the Perkins Garage off of Academy Street, south of the Perkins Student Center. Parking fees will apply.
