UD offers showing of annual China Town Hall national webcast in Kirkbride
2:38 p.m., Oct. 14, 2014--The eighth annual China Town Hall, a national webcast featuring former President Jimmy Carter and Christian Murck, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in China, will be shown from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 16, in 004 Kirkbride Hall on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.
The showing is being sponsored on campus by the Confucius Institute and the Institute for Global Studies in partnership with the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations and the World Trade Center Delaware.

Three University of Delaware students and an alumna have received word this spring that they will travel abroad as part of the newest class of Fulbright Student Program award winners.
Peace Corps plans
Two University of Delaware students, John McCarron and Bridgette Spritz, have been selected as Peace Corps volunteers and will serve in Ghana and Rwanda.
The theme of the town hall is “Local Connections, National Reflections.”
