Newark Police arrest Newark man for attempted bank robbery
3:39 p.m., Oct. 16, 2014--Newark Police have arrested Aaron Mathis, 26, of Newark, in connection with an attempted bank robbery on Sept. 25 of the TD Bank at 230 East Delaware Ave.
Police said Mathis was developed as a suspect after several tips from the public. Detectives executed a search warrant Oct. 15 at his home and located several items linking him to the crime.
