In addition to the UDaB, students can apply to the Honors Program, Blue Hen Leadership Program, School of Nursing and Residence Life and Housing service learning trips.
Students are encouraged to choose up to three trips when applying, and all of the opportunities are listed on the application form.
UDaB recommends reading the trip descriptions to understand the kind of work that will be performed over the course spring break. After applying, students will be able to select their availability for UDaB’s group interviews to be held on Oct. 25 and 26.
The 11 UDaB trips this year focus on issues including affordable housing, early literacy, health disparities, rural environment, rural housing, urban poverty, urban environment, trail development, wildlife sanctuary, community building and rebuilding New Orleans.
A full list of trips, including service issue areas, expected costs, locations, and community partners can be found on the Office of Service Learning website under UDaB 2015 Trips.
UDaB was established in 2010 with the goal of providing opportunities for all students to participate in a variety of issue-based service learning experiences over spring break.
For more information on UDaB, interested applicants can visit the Office of Service Learning website, follow @udabreaks on Twitter and Instagram, and like the program on Facebook.
