Upper division residence hall open houses help students find homes for next school year

7:46 a.m., Nov. 12, 2014--University of Delaware Residence Life and Housing is hosting a series of open houses in upper division areas beginning Wednesday, Nov. 12. 

At each location, students will be able to view rooms while professional and student staff in the buildings will be on hand to explain the community spirit of each neighborhood.

All UD faculty and staff members are invited to attend the annual UDid It! employee appreciation picnic, set from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday, June 6, on The Green.

The open houses are scheduled as follows:

• Independence Complex: Independence East, Nov. 12, 6-8 p.m.
• Christiana Towers: Christiana Commons, Dec 1., 4:30-6:30 p.m.
• North and South Central will hold open houses in early February.

“National studies show that living on campus leads to higher GPAs, higher degrees of campus involvement, and higher degree completion rates,” states Jim Tweedy, senior associate director of Residence Life and Housing.
