June 6-9: Food and culture series
For students and faculty, this is a last chance to take their minds off Reading Day and final examinations.
For all others, this is a time to warm up, relax and experience the delight of discovering all the interesting objects on display this semester in the Old College Gallery exhibitions “Treasures and Tales of Italy’s Art Recovery Team: Antiquities from the Guardia di Finanza,” and “Delaware Awake! World War I at Home and Abroad.”
Inspired by the ancient Greek symposium an important, regularly occurring social gathering for the “in” crowd this First Thursday event features musical performances by UD student musicians throughout the evening, warm food and drinks, and a last chance to see the exhibitions, which close at 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 7.
First Thursdays are ideal for new or returning visitors from UD and the surrounding community to learn what University Museums have to offer each semester.
Admission to all University Museums events is free. Call 302-831-8037 or visit the website for more information on University Museums events and exhibitions.
