“We hope to engage the thousands of students that come through our doors every day in a way that we have not before,” said Cortney Ranck, assistant director of recreation and marketing. “Our department is all about student involvement, from our program participants to student employees, and we want to do a better job of exchanging information with them.”
Ranck said the goal “is to connect with students on a more personal level. We want students to share with us their own experiences in campus recreation, whether it be as a fitness instructor, game official, or club sport member, so we can continue to improve and expand even more.”
To that end, Ranck said the Recreation Services Facebook and Twitter accounts have been rebranded to cover all that it has has to offer, including intramurals, club sports, fitness classes, and more. The Instagram account is brand new.
