STAR Steering Committee Chair Alan Brangman, vice president for facilities, real estate and auxiliary services, will present the University’s revised master plan, which is currently in draft form.
UD previously released a STAR Campus master plan in 2011. The new draft better defines and illustrates the campus’ overall framework and outlines guidelines for development.
The University acquired the 272-acre property in 2009. The site formerly housed automaker Chrysler’s Newark Assembly Plant.
UD’s STAR Campus will be a center of innovation, focused on leading research in areas such as health science, cyber security and alternative energy. Through partnerships with private businesses and government agencies on the site, UD will provide educational and professional opportunities for students while igniting job and economic growth within the state.
The sessions are free and open to the public. In addition, people may submit their comments or suggestions to the steering committee by emailing star@facilities.udel.edu.
