UD Festival of Nations to feature culture, talent, fashion

12:37 p.m., Nov. 19, 2014--The University of Delaware will host the annual Festival of Nations from 5-9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 21, in the Multipurpose Rooms of the Trabant University Center.

A highlight of International Education Week, the event will feature a culture fair and talent and fashion shows.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

Exhibits representing countries around the world, organized by students of the English Language Institute, will be included in the culture fair. The talent show will feature singing, instrumental music and dancing and the fashion show will offer students and professors modeling traditional clothing.

The Festival of Nations is free and open to the public.

The event is organized by the English Language Institute in collaboration with the Institute for Global Studies and the Office of International Students and Scholars.
