UD Police seek assistance in identifying suspects in recent bike thefts

3:10 p.m., Nov. 17, 2014--University of Delaware Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying suspects in two recent incidents involving bicycle thefts on the Newark campus.

On Saturday, Nov. 8, a man was observed walking along a walkway by Dickinson Hall and then removing a bicycle from the Dickinson A bicycle rack. Anyone with information about his identity is asked to contact Officer Raushan Rich at 302-831-2222.

If you are using two-factor authentication (2FA), even if a hacker has your password, your information is probably safe.

On Tuesday, Nov. 11, two men were observed on a surveillance camera removing two bicycles from the Gilbert Hall area. Additional surveillance images were obtained with the assistance of DART. Anyone with information about the identities of these two individuals is asked to contact Detective Richard Mantici at 302-831-4136. 

Information on either case also may be shared anonymously through the UD Police Department's anonymous tip program.
