University Library's Giambi receives ALCTS Honors award

10:17 a.m., Nov. 12, 2014--The University of Delaware Library has announced that M. Dina Giambi, associate university librarian for technical services and resource management, was presented with the ALCTS Honors award by the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS), a major division of the American Library Association (ALA), at the 2014 ALA Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, earlier this year.

ALCTS Honors acknowledged Giambi for “outstanding contributions at all levels within ALCTS, stellar dedication to service, uncompromising commitment to excellence, willingness to accept challenges, and a sustained and exemplary record of moving ALCTS forward.”

President Barack Obama recently presented the National Medal of Science to University of Delaware alumnus Rakesh Jain.

Warren Award

Rosalind Johnson, assistant dean for student success in the NUCLEUS Program in UD's College of Arts and Sciences, was presented the John Warren Excellence in Leadership and Service Award during a May 26 ceremony.
