“We are happy to partner with Lazybones because they offer very reliable service, and this agreement will support our student and alumni programs,” said Lauren Murray Simione, associate director of alumni relations at UD.

A local, year-round business dedicated to the students of the University of Delaware, Lazybones has been providing college students with storage services at low prices for 21 years and offers easy, affordable solutions for summer storage headaches. Their services include:

  • One low price per item – no monthly fees, no packages or hidden costs.
  • Room-to-room pickup and delivery service.
  • Free pickup and delivery.
  • Boxes/packaging materials of all sizes can be purchased through the Lazybones website.

Storage includes picking up items to be stored over the summer, winter break or term abroad, and Lazybones will return the items to wherever the customer requests when needed. Storage of such items as beds, microwaves and winter clothing is popular with students and parents.

“They moved and stored all of the furniture and boxes,” says Bob Zuckerman, whose daughter Jennifer used the service. “In the fall, they met her on time at her new apartment and delivered everything back in great shape.”

Lazybones partners with UDAA to help market this service. Families can save 10 percent off their entire storage order when they use the code LBUDAA when booking service. In return, Lazybones will donate that savings to the UDAA. The UDAA uses the income to support their student programs like the freshmen class banner and Senior Cap Decorating Party.

Call 877-215-2105 or visit the Lazybones website to schedule service. Lazybones Delaware is owned by Robbie Johnson, a UD alumnus who graduated in 1998.
