“The LiveSafe App is redefining the way students, faculty and staff may fully leverage public safety services,” a representative of Campus and Public Safety said, encouraging faculty and staff members to download the app to “take community empowerment and police protection to the next level.”
LiveSafe opens new doors of communication so that people and police can stay connected, share information with each other quickly and easily and help keep the community safe, the representative said.
Users of the LiveSafe app can help fight crime and share information by sending an anonymous text, picture or video to police.
Users also can start a live chat with police and provide additional information about an incident or report a safety concern.
Campus and Public Safety will have a kiosk at the Benefits and Wellness Fair to be held from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, in the Multipurpose Rooms of the Trabant University Center. There, faculty and staff members are invited to learn more about the LifeSafe app.
The drawing for the iPad Mini will be on Friday, May 22, and the winner will be announced on Monday, May 25.
The free LiveSafe app is available through iTunes or Google Play.
