Employees can select from among the top five flavors submitted. They are as follows:

• “Life's a Beach,” submitted by Jaime Tomlinson of the Delaware Geological Survey. This “edible geology” features vanilla ice cream with chocolate covered pretzel pieces, chocolate covered peanuts, white chocolate "shells" and caramel swirl for a consistency much like different coastal plain formations found throughout the majority of the state.

• “Red Brick Renaissance,” submitted by Alex Keen of University Student Centers. With a nod to the red bricks on campus, this features red velvet ice cream with ribbons of cream cheese icing, chocolate chunks, and a dash of sea salt.

• "Blue Gold Delight," submitted by Mary Thomas of the Center for Disabilities Studies. This features lemon flavored ice cream with chunks of pound cake and fresh blueberries, and is designed to make use of fresh local ingredients and allow UD to build partnerships and relationships with community businesses.

• “KAramel APple,” submitted by Jeremy Crenshaw of the Department of Kinesiology and Applied Physiology (KAAP). This features vanilla ice cream with caramel swirls and apple pie filling and draws on the work of the department. Caramel is made by heating sugar, a reference to the physiology of metabolizing sugars, and the apple is a reference to health and biomechanics.

• “Caramel Vanilla Bean Fudge Swirl,” submitted by Pat Fox of the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics’ Department of Finance. This features vanilla with lots of fudge and salted caramel swirled in, and reflects the happiness of working with great colleagues.
