Newark Police charge man in offensive touching incident
12:42 p.m., May 29, 2015--Newark Police arrested Carlos Morciego, 39, of Newark on May 29 and charged him with offensive touching for a May 19 incident in Rittenhouse Park in Newark.
Detectives received a tip that Morciego could possibly be the suspect in the incident. The tipster is Morciego's coworker at a business located on Marcus Court, near where the incident occurred. The tipster was able to provide information linking Morciego to the crime on the day of the incident.
Newark Police detectives conducted a search warrant at Morciego's home and took him into custody without incident.
He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $100 unsecured bail.
