Alumni Weekend volunteers
UD community encouraged to volunteer for Alumni Weekend 2015
9:22 a.m., May 8, 2015--The Office of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) is seeking the assistance of University of Delaware employees during one of the University’s largest events, Alumni Weekend, taking place June 5-7.
“This is one of our most exciting, high-energy events, and we couldn’t do it without volunteers,” says Monica Taylor, vice president of development and alumni relations. “We are incredibly grateful for the 111 faculty and staff members who have so graciously offered to assist with this year’s Alumni Weekend.”

Over 4,400 alumni and friends have already registered to attend, and organizers expect this year’s event to exceed 5,000.
DAR is currently seeking an additional 180 volunteers for the June event.
Volunteers are an important part of the weekend, staffing events and guiding returning alumni around campus.
All volunteers who work five or more hours receive free admission into Friday's Dela-bration or Saturday's Lunch with the Mascots, both on The Green. Volunteers eligible for this free admission will be able to register for their free event on the volunteer registration form, where they can also register spouses, guests and children at full price.
To volunteer, visit the Alumni Weekend volunteer registration form online. For questions or additional information, contact Cathryn Schenk at 302.831.2341 or cschenk@udel.edu.
Alumni Weekend
Held the first weekend after Commencement each year, Alumni Weekend is a tradition that is growing in popularity and in size. More than 5,500 Blue Hens and friends attended in 2014, participating in over 60 events and activities such as Dela-bration, the Blue Hen 5K, President Patrick Harker's State of the University presentation and the Alumni Wall of Fame ceremony.
