Online information security training for UD employees
11:13 a.m., March 11, 2015--Last year, the University of Delaware introduced the Secure UD training program for UD faculty and staff who have access to University information systems and resources. This week, a new round of Secure UD training will become available.
“Based on the importance of information security in so many of the University’s academic, business and support processes, it is essential that our employees stay current on the most recent security practices,” said Carl Jacobson, vice president, UD Information Technologies.

IT staff have reviewed the training and have updated the list of topics covered this year.
“Over 1,700 full-time and part-time employees participated in the first year of training. We urge all employees to complete the training this year,” Jacobson added.
This training program is part of the University’s Secure UD information security awareness initiative and is designed to equip faculty and staff with the knowledge and resources they need to properly use and protect UD’s data and other confidential information.
The training, which uses online video training modules, is available to faculty and staff who have access to University information systems and resources. Participants will be automatically enrolled in training and will receive an email in the next several days explaining how to log in to the Secure UD Virtual Learning Environment.
