Managing collaborative group work in classes larger than 25 students can be very challenging. At the same time, it can be desirable because it can be incredibly engaging for students. In this workshop, attendees will consider and be exposed to methods of working with groups in large classes.
During the April event, Mark Serva, associate professor of accounting and management information systems, along with staff from UD's Center for Teaching and Assessment of Learning (CTAL), will contribute their teaching and assessment experience.
The next Teaching Learning Conversation (TLC) sponsored this spring by CTAL will focus on “Mitigating Stereotype Threat,” from 12-1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, in Faculty Commons, 116 Pearson Hall.
Lunch is provided, and advance registration is requested. To register, click here.
All faculty members, postdocs and graduate students interested in teaching are encouraged to attend.
The First Friday roundtables are designed and sponsored through a collaboration of Academic Technology Services, the Institute for Transforming Undergraduate Education and the Center for Teaching and Assessment of Learning.
