8:08 a.m., March 23, 2015--University of Delaware ID Card Office staff have announced that the ONEcard exchange stations in the Student Services Building will continue to operate for one additional week, through Friday March 27.

Faculty, staff and students are commenting that they are pleased with the speed and efficiency of the exchange process, as well as the clean, classic design of the new card.

2FA protects you

If you are using two-factor authentication (2FA), even if a hacker has your password, your information is probably safe.

Increasing use of the contactless feature has been noted at the Carpenter Sports Building fitness center, and in University parking facilities.

The ID Card Office also announced that the office will be closed during spring break week, Monday, March 30, through Friday, April 3, while system and equipment upgrades are completed. The office will re-open on Monday, April 6.

Those who have received a “recommended appointment” email from the ID Card Office but have not yet picked up their new ONEcard are encouraged to come by the Student Services Building on Lovett Avenue this week, prior to spring break.

Those who plan to pick up a ONEcard do not need to contact the office and can come in at any time during the open hours, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with evening hours until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.

It will still be possible to pick up the ONEcard after spring break but it is likely that the exchange process will not be as quick and convenient as it is now.

The special stations will no longer be in operation so ONEcard exchanges will be handled at the regular service counter in the ID Office, along with all other normal daily work.

Also, the dedicated ONEcard parking spots adjacent to the Student Services Building will no longer be available after spring break.

Those who have an urgent ID card issue during spring break week can send email to id-card@udel.edu, or call the office at 302-UD1-CARD (831-2273).

For more information, see the ONEcard website.
