UD's Narvaez begins term as president-elect of water organization
9:34 a.m., March 11, 2015--Martha Corrozi Narvaez, associate policy scientist for the University of Delaware’s Water Resources Agency (WRA), has begun her duties as president-elect of the American Water Resources Association, effective Jan. 1. Her presidency will follow in 2016.
The WRA is a unit of the School of Public Policy and Administration's Institute for Public Administration.

The American Water Resources Association (AWRA) is the premier nongovernmental organization dedicated to the advancement of multidisciplinary water resources management and research. Its members voted Narvaez president-elect during a recent national election.
John C. Tracy, current AWRA president, thanked Narvaez and other new officers for their willingness to serve as leaders of the organization.
“I look forward to working with them in the coming year, and I am glad they are willing to offer their talents, time and effort to help advance AWRA’s mission as we start our next 50 years in serving the water resources community,” he said.
Narvaez said she was eager to serve as president-elect.
“AWRA plays such an important role in the water resources community,” she said. “I am honored to be part of the leadership of such a dynamic group of people working to advance the science and management as well as increase our knowledge of our water resources.”
Since 1964, the AWRA has been dedicated to the advancement of water resources management, research and education, as well as a balanced approach toward solving water resources challenges. The association’s membership is comprised of professionals who share a common interest in working and learning across a wide range of disciplines focused on water resources policy, practice and education.
