Newark Police investigate robbery on South Main Street

1:26 p.m., June 30, 2015--Newark Police are investigating the robbery of an employee of Buffalo Wild Wings that occurred at approximately 10:40 p.m., Monday, June 29. The employee was robbed at gunpoint while on break in the restaurant's parking lot on South Main Street in Newark.

The 19-year-old male victim was in his car in the parking lot when he was approached by the suspect, who brandished a handgun and demanded money. When the victim was unable to give him any money, the suspect took undisclosed property from the victim and then fled on foot south on South Main Street. 

The victim, who is a student at Wilmington University, was not injured during this incident.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall, with a thin build, wearing a light colored hoodie with red lettering and dark pants.
