Webinar on internationalization to be presented Thursday for campus community

4:34 p.m., July 23, 2014--The Institute for Global Studies (IGS) invites members of the University of Delaware community to attend a NAFSA webinar titled “Campus Internationalization: Engaging Faculty, Students and Community” on Thursday, July 31, starting at 3 p.m. in Room 104 Gore Hall. (This event was originially scheduled in Elliott Hall.)

Presenters Neal McCrillis of Columbus State University and Dan Paracka of Kennesaw State University will share their successful strategies for engaging faculty, students, and community to strengthen campus internationalization efforts.

UD Provost Domenico Grasso participated in the seventh Summit of Americas, which was held in Panama City, Panama, and included a special meeting of university leaders.

Cuba study abroad

In the wake of changes in U.S. foreign policy, 17 University of Delaware students visited Cuba as part of a study abroad program.

Drawing from their experience as winners of NAFSA's Sen. Paul Simon Award for Campus Internationalization, McCrillis and Paracka will provide real-world examples on how to build upon existing programs and initiatives to broaden the global perspective of a campus.
