Third VSCSE workshop
Virtual School of Computational Science and Engineering workshop offered
3:59 p.m., July 7, 2014--From Aug. 25-26, UD will host its third summer workshop organized by the Virtual School of Computational Science and Engineering (VSCSE).
The two-day workshop will cover all aspects of visualizing data from a broad variety of domains. It will include an introduction to visualization, discuss best practices when dealing with diverse data (abstract and spatial), demonstrate a variety of methods and techniques on those data sets, and show a range of freely available software. The discussion will focus on real-world problems for which visualization is needed.

To encourage participation, UD Information Technologies will pay the fees for participants in the workshop.
The virtual workshop will be held from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., in 467 ISE Lab, led by Gregory D. Abram, research engineering/scientist associate, Texas Advanced Computing Center, The University of Texas at Austin.
The workshop is open to graduate students, postdocs, faculty and professionals from academia, government and industry and is limited to 25 participants. Register early to assure yourself a seat.
