Morris Library announces hours on Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday
4:25 p.m., Jan. 13, 2015--The Morris Library at the University of Delaware will be open from 1-9 p.m. on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 19. University offices will be closed and classes suspended.
The Morris Library will be open although not all service desks will be staffed; some service desks may have reduced hours. Special Collections and the Exhibition Gallery will be closed. The Chemistry, Marine Studies and Physics libraries will be closed.

“Experience shows that the Morris Library is still heavily used on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, even though no classes are given,” said Susan Brynteson, vice provost and May Morris University Librarian. “The University of Delaware Library is trying to meet the needs of library users by being open on Jan. 19.”
The electronic library of the University of Delaware Library, which is available 24/7, provides access for faculty, students and staff to a rich array of online library resources, including DELCAT Discovery, databases, full-text information, electronic books, electronic journals and electronic newspapers, Research Guides, digital collections, UDSpace and much more. A mobile-friendly version of the University of Delaware Library web page is also available.
Other holiday announcements
Campus Recreation reports that the Carpenter Sports Building, or Little Bob, will open at 7 a.m. and close at 11 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19. There will be no fitness classes.
