NFL championship parties set at UD's Rust Ice Arena
2:23 p.m., Jan. 27, 2015--NFL championship parties are scheduled during public skating sessions this weekend at the University of Delaware's Fred Rust Ice Arena, 547 South College Ave., Newark.
From 8-10 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 31, skaters who wear their favorite football team apparel will receive $1 off skate rentals. Free 6-foot subs, chips and lemonade will be available, while supplies last.

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.
June 6-9: Food and culture series
The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.
From 1-3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 1, the arena will host a NFL championship tailgate party, complete with a face painter, giveaways and special events.
