Global governance
University to host spring colloquium on global governance, society
10:35 a.m., Feb. 9, 2015--The University of Delaware Department of Political Science and International Relations, with generous support provided by the Center for Global and Area Studies, will offer a spring 2015 Colloquium on Global Governance and Society.
This year’s series is organized around the theme of "Global International Relations and Global Governance,” and features a highly distinctive and accomplished group of scholars.

Fulbright awards
Three University of Delaware students and an alumna have received word this spring that they will travel abroad as part of the newest class of Fulbright Student Program award winners.
Peace Corps plans
Two University of Delaware students, John McCarron and Bridgette Spritz, have been selected as Peace Corps volunteers and will serve in Ghana and Rwanda.
Presentations will be held from 2:30-4 p.m. on select Fridays in 132 Alison Hall.

- Friday, Feb. 27, Amitav Archaya, American University, president of the International Studies Association (ISA), “Global IR and Regional Worlds.”
- Friday, March 13, J. Ann Tickner, American University, a leading feminist scholar in the discipline and past president of ISA, “Revisiting IR in a Time of Crisis: Learning from Indigenous Knowledge.”
- Friday, March 27, Jennifer Griffin, George Washington University, a renowned scholar on corporate social responsibility, “Looking at the Corporate Governance-Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Interface from a CSR Perspective.”
- Friday, April 10, Rey Koslowski, State University of New York-Albany, a specialist in international migration, “Global Mobility Regimes: A Conceptual Reframing.”
- Friday, April 24, Himadeep Muppidi, Vassar College, an expert in postcolonial theory and critical approaches to international relations, “Worlding the Postcolonial.”
