Horn Program event to feature networking and lightning round presentations

1:14 p.m., Feb. 13, 2015--The University of Delaware’s Horn Program in Entrepreneurship has announced March’s “Fast Forward” event, featuring five-minute, five-slide presentations by entrepreneurs, inventors and community leaders who are shaping the future.

This special edition of Fast Forward features innovative women with a wide range of expertise and ideas, as well as an "open mic" segment, in which anyone in the audience can pitch a business idea.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

Presented by the Horn Program in partnership with Great Dames, Fast Forward will include networking time for attendees to explore ideas and make new connections. 

The event will begin at 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, at the Venture Development Center at 132 E. Delaware Ave.

Hors d’oeuvres, refreshments, beer and wine will be provided. Registration is $10 for students with a valid student ID and $20 for adults. Attendees are asked to register in advance online. Members of the UD community can also receive a $5 discount using the promo code “BlueHen.”
