TEXT SIZE

6:22 p.m., Feb. 19, 2015--The University of Delaware Police Department, in conjunction with the Salisbury University Police, is seeking the public's assistance in identifying three individuals as part of an unlawful credit card usage investigation.

These individuals are thought to be responsible for multiple thefts throughout the lower Eastern Shore of Maryland beginning in the summer of 2014 and for two incidents reported at the University of Delaware in December 2014 and February 2015.

In all these instances, credit or debit cards were taken from unsecured offices or common areas where purses or wallets were left unattended. Usually, the stolen cards were used immediately in local stores for various electronics, food and clothing.

In follow-up conversations with Salisbury University Police, it has been determined that these individuals are specifically targeting offices at educational institutions.

Most recently the suspect vehicle involved with these subjects is a Jeep with writing on the side windows.

Anyone with information about these individuals is asked to contact Detective Rick Mantici at mantici@udel.edu or 302-831-4136 or any detective at ciu-udpd@udel.edu or 302-831-7433.

For any incident in progress or if suspicious persons are observed on campus, please contact UD Police immediately at 302-831-2222.
