UD Police seek assistance in identifying theft suspects

6:02 p.m., Dec. 16, 2014--University of Delaware Police detectives are seeking the public's assistance in identifying two individuals in connection with the theft of a wallet taken from an unattended office in Smith Hall between noon and 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 12. 

Credit cards taken from the wallet were subsequently used at the Walmart and Applebee's on Wilton Boulevard in New Castle and at an unidentified Walgreens. The total unauthorized usage totaled approximately $1,000.

The suspects, shown in surveillance video, were seen entering and exiting the stores together. 

The suspects are described as a 35- to 45-year-old black man, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing 250 to 270 pounds and wearing dark pants, white shirt, dark jacket, white shoes and a white hat; and a 30- to 40-year-old black woman, 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 130 to 150 pounds, with short hair with highlights and wearing jeans, boots, a gray shirt and jacket.
