DENIN announces third annual student environmental video competition
2:33 p.m., Dec. 4, 2014--The DENIN Ambassadors have announced their third annual environmental video competition. The theme of this year’s competition is “A Personal Journey.”
Videos entered in the competition should reflect a personal odyssey by the filmmaker that led to changes in his or her life based on environmental fact-finding, discovery or reflection.

Students may work in teams to create a video, but one student must be designated as the producer/director and entrant. That person will submit the video and receive any prize division of the prize among team members will be at the discretion of the team leader/producer.
Entries should be original digital videos up to 10 minutes long and must be submitted in .mov format by 5 p.m. on Feb. 27, 2015.
A panel of judges will select the winning video, which will be screened as part of UD’s “Lights, Camera, EARTH!” environmental film festival, March 6-8, where the winner will be announced and the prize awarded.
A $1,000 grand prize will be awarded for the top video. Videos will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Creativity;
- Depiction of theme and effectiveness of environmental message; and
- Cinematography and production values
