Library offers 'Introduction to Typography and Design' multimedia workshop
8:38 a.m., April 13, 2015--The University of Delaware Library will present a workshop “Introduction to Typography and Design,” which introduces some basic principles in design, typography and information graphics, on Tuesday afternoon, April 28.
This workshop will assist those who create brochures, handouts, posters and web graphics in creating beautiful documents that are effective at combining text with graphical elements.

Participants will practice with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign to accomplish these tasks.
Prior experience with the software is not required, but would be helpful. Participants are encouraged to bring projects to work on at the workshop, but example files will also be available.
“Introduction to Typography and Design” will be offered on Tuesday, April 28, from 1:30-3:30 p.m., in Room B of the Student Multimedia Design Center on the lower level of the Morris Library.
Presenters will be Nico Carver, assistant librarian, and Hannah Lee, senior assistant librarian, both of the Multimedia Collections and Services Department.
This workshop is available at no charge and is open to University of Delaware faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. Online registration is available at this website.
