A limited number of scholarships are available to first generation college students wishing to enroll in one of these test prep programs. Visit the website for more details and the online application. The scholarship application deadline is June 1.
Enrollment discounts will be offered for Delaware residents, children of UD employees and those who register by June 1.
Each four-day institute consists of 20 hours of classroom activities led by an experienced test preparation instructor. Students are provided with an in-depth review of the exam materials including real test questions, insight into strategies for succeeding on standardized tests and a comprehensive study plan.
Classroom instruction is supplemented by student access to live online review sessions and online office hours in the weeks leading up to the fall ACT and SAT exam dates.
UD's 2015 SAT Summer Institute will target the current version of the SAT, with all practice exercises and examples taken from the current exam format. However, the skills and tools covered in the class will also help students planning to take the redesigned SAT set to launch in March 2016.
Students generally take the ACT and/or SAT during their junior year of high school. The test prep summer institutes are ideal for rising juniors who may be taking the test for the first time, or for those who have already taken the exam but wish to improve their score.
The SAT and ACT test prep programs are offered in partnership with Educational Testing Consultants (ETC). A leader in higher education test preparation, ETC currently provides test preparation classes at over 30 colleges, universities and schools across the country.
