Enhancing campus life
Real-world programming, planning experience for University's NACA attendees
11:46 a.m., April 13, 2015--Each year, students in University of Delaware registered student organizations (RSOs) who provide campus-wide programs in collaboration with the University Student Centers (USC) have the opportunity to partake in a variety of professional development opportunities.
One such opportunity is the annual conference of the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA), which provides unique leadership training and programming experience to interested students in support of enhancing co-curricular programs and overall campus life at their institutions.

The USC annually sends representatives from programming RSOs such as the Student Centers Programming Advisory Board (SCPAB), Hola, Haven, and the Cultural Programming Advisory Board (CPAB) to NACA’s national conference to learn about programming as well as attend sessions on motivation, stress management, decision-making, cultural diversity and more.
Attendees also enjoy networking opportunities with students from their own schools and neighboring institutions, as well as a wide array of live performances from acts that they can book for their campus.
Five students attended NACA 2015 on behalf of the University of Delaware, including junior Janelle Bentley who created this YouTube video as a highlight reel of her experiences throughout the conference.
Acts brought to UD as a result of student inspiration at NACA include comedians and magicians, and inflatables and other novelties.
Students interested in event planning and entertainment are encouraged to find more information on all programming RSOs, as well as a vast variety of additional student groups, at the Student Central website.
