May 7: University Museums open house
University Museums to present spring open house at Old College, Mechanical Hall
1:51 p.m., April 28, 2015--The University Museums at the University of Delaware will hold a First Thursday spring open house from 4:30-7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 7, in Old College and Mechanical Hall.
First Thursday events offer University Museums visitors from UD and the surrounding community an opportunity to take advantage of extended hours, with the facilities open until 8 p.m., and to see and discuss art from the collections.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K
University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.
June 6-9: Food and culture series
The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.
The open house is free and open to the public.
Highlights will include:
- A visit by the UDairy Creamery’s Moo Mobile, with a free scoop to the first 100 guests.
- A live performance exhibit by UD dance minor students and the dance company Ignite.
- A chance to see the current exhibitions, “Land and Water,” “Pictures of Place” and “Forget Me Not,” which close on Sunday, May 17.
Light refreshments will be served in the Old College lobby.
