UD Campus and Public Safety launched the smartphone safety app to help make students and the University community even safer on campus, to prevent crime and to better respond to incidents.
Gibbons lives on the Laird Campus and said she and her roommate use the LiveSafe app’s Safetywalk feature the most.
The students like the feature to “accompany” each other when they are walking home late at night, and Gibbons said she thinks everyone should employ the feature because of how easy it is to use.
Gibbons said she also likes the fact that LiveSafe sends messages to alert the campus community of closings or late openings.
