June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

The dinner will feature a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, various speakers, hors d’oeuvres, and time to meet personally with many of the dedicated students who work hard to contribute positively and sustainably to the growth of developing countries.

The evening will include a tribute to the legacy of the late Steven K. Dentel, the founding adviser for EWB-UD. Dentel, a longtime professor of civil and environmental engineering at UD, died in February.

The group’s new mentors are Abigail Clarke-Sather, adjunct faculty in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Kimberly Bothi of UD’s Institute for Global Studies.

The cost to attend is $55 per person, $20 of which is tax-deductible. Click here to register.
