Legacy plaque honoring benefactor Jeanne K. Buxbaum to be unveiled
2:51 p.m., April 27, 2015--A legacy plaque honoring University of Delaware benefactor Jeanne K. Buxbaum will be unveiled during a ceremony at 6 p.m., Friday, May 1, in Daugherty Hall in the Trabant University Center.
This is the 10th year for the endowment and its support for 34 students who through the decade have been named Buxbaum Scholars, according to Veronica F. Rempusheski, the Jeanne K. Buxbaum Chair of Nursing Science and coordinator of UD’s doctorate in nursing science program.

Rempusheski noted that the first graduate student named a Buxbaum Scholar, Katie (Price) Haigh, who graduated in 2007, has been admitted as a doctoral student in the nursing science program. The first Buxbaum undergraduate awardee, Carolyn (Ziminski) Pickering of the Class of 2009 received a doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2013 and is an assistant professor at Michigan State University.
