STD testing available at Student Health Services

1:49 p.m., April 7, 2015--April is STD Awareness month. One in two sexually active young people will get a sexually transmitted disease or STD by age 25, and most won't know it. The solution is simple: Get tested today. 

University of Delaware Student Health Services is offering free STD testing in conjunction with the national Get Yourself Tested campaign, organized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to encourage young people to get tested and treated, as needed.

According to the CDC, young people account for nearly 25 percent of the sexually experienced population in the United States and for nearly half of new STDs.

How to get tested at Student Health Services

To make an appointment, UD students can go to www.udel.edu/studenthealth and click on “Get Yourself Tested,” then follow the instructions listed on the page.

STD testing is available at Student Health Services year round.
