Natural Hair Expo to be held at UD's Clayton Hall

11:15 a.m., Sept. 4, 2013--The Naturally Redefined Hair Expo, sponsored by the University of Delaware’s Center for Black Culture, will be held from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, at Clayton Hall.

The event will include vendors, natural hair and health workshops, panel discussions, live entertainment, a product swap, swag bags and a natural hair show competition.

Bioengineering pioneer James J. Collins of MIT will highlight recent efforts to create synthetic gene networks and programmable cells to advance diagnostic testing and disease treatment during the Edward G. Jefferson Life Sciences Lecture on May 3.

May 3: Culture and cuisine

On May 3, UD's Master Players Concert Series will present the final World Kitchen Series dinner and mixer event, featuring international artist Emad Jano Hemeda.

General admission is $20 and VIP admission is $35. Tickets are available online, at the door or by calling 302-497-EXPO.
