Daughter of Romanian Holocaust survivors to speak at UD

10:10 a.m., Sept. 17, 2013--Ana Weber-Haber, the daughter of Romanian Holocaust survivors, will be a guest lecturer in a University of Delaware Jewish Studies class at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19, in 014 Mitchell Hall.

The class is taught by Diane Isaacs, adjunct professor who specializes in Holocaust studies.

April 23-May 10: 'The 39 Steps'

The University of Delaware Resident Ensemble Players will present "Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps" from April 23 through May 10 at the Roselle Center for the Arts.

April 25: Drag Spectacular

Haven has announced that its Blue and Gold Drag Spectacular will be held from 7-10 p.m., Saturday, April 25, in Clayton Hall.

Weber-Haber will discuss her experiences, and also the motivational books she has written.

Future guest speakers include the following:

• Oct. 3 -- Steve Gonzer, creator of the No Denying documentary on Holocaust survivors in Delaware, will show and discuss women's testimony in the documentary.

• Oct. 24 -- Dorothy Finger, Holocaust survivor, will read poems she has collected over the years to supplement her story of hiding in the forest and her message for people today.

• Nov. 12 -- Ann Jaffe, Holocaust survivor, will discuss her remarkable story of surviving in the forest with her family.
