Freshman applications for Alternative Spring Break due today
11 a.m., Sept. 13, 2013--Midnight tonight, Friday, Sept. 13, is the deadline for freshmen students to apply for Residence Life & Housing Alternative Break (RLHAB).
This is the inaugural year for the program that encourages students to participate in established service opportunities sponsored by Residence Life & Housing, such as MLK Day of Service and weekly service initiatives. The program culminates in a week spent with Coastal Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County, N.J., restoring and rebuilding communities affected by Hurricane Sandy.

“RLHAB is open to freshman students currently living on campus,” said program coordinator Tierra Fields, residence hall coordinator in Residence Life & Housing. “This encourages students to interact with like-minded peers who share an interest in serving the community.”
Participants will meet throughout the fall semester to discuss important issues related to the spring break trip.
