Parents & Family Weekend 2013

Festive events set Nov. 8-10 for students, friends and families

10:17 a.m., Sept. 25, 2013--Blue Hens, their friends and families are invited to join in the fun during the University of Delaware's Parents & Family Weekend 2013, scheduled for Nov. 8 – 10.  

Coordinated by the Division of Student Life, the weekend schedule is anchored by featured events, including:

Campus Stories

Stitch in time

Donna Bailey of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources has created an Ag Day quilt from the T-shirt designs of years gone by.

Shakespeare 2016

Shakespeare's First Folio will be on display at the University Museums of the University of Delaware from Aug. 30 through Sept. 25, 2016.
  • The Friday Night Comedy Show – Jim Gaffigan, live at The Bob;
  • Family Fest Tailgate – Fun for the whole family;
  • UD Football – Fightin’ Blue Hens take on the Tribe from William & Mary; and
  • Ghosts & History on The Green – A walking tour showcasing UD in a whole new light.

To round out the weekend, there will be a variety of programs and promotions offered by units across campus as well as businesses in the surrounding community. Events identified as “Inside UD” offer visitors the chance to meet faculty and staff, tour new construction and get a behind-the-scenes look at experiential learning environments.
