Town hall on online/global initiatives
Events designed to gather input for plan to enhance UD's online and global initiatives
6:08 a.m., Oct. 31, 2013--The University of Delaware community is invited to attend one of two town hall meetings in November to discuss a plan to enhance the University’s online/global initiatives.
They will be held from 5-6 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, and from 4:30-5:30 pm., Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the Trabant University Center Theatre.

Nancy Brickhouse, deputy provost, and James Richards, vice provost for graduate and professional education, will lead the meetings.
Among the topics to be addressed will be
• professional master’s level and post-baccalaureate degree programs that are most appropriate for online delivery;
• online classes and certificate programs that would especially benefit UD’s growing global audiences;
• building international collaborations to bring students from abroad to the UD campus during winter and summer sessions; and
• expanding opportunities for UD faculty to teach overseas and for UD students to take courses at campuses overseas.
In addition, a summary of the review of potential vendors for the campus-wide delivery of online courses will be presented.
