TEXT SIZE

9:49 a.m., Oct. 9, 2013--The University of Delaware’s Institute for Global Studies (IGS) will host “Proposal in an Hour,” a workshop to assist faculty in writing study abroad proposals this year.

Interested faculty should bring the following information: the course they want to teach, the location they want to visit and calendar ideas.

Global Stories

Humanitarian aid

When record rainfall hit the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina earlier this summer, flooding left thousands of citizens homeless. A UD student was among Army ROTC cadets who responded to provide assistance.

Irish conference

UD early childhood education major Rebecca Vitelli recently attended the Irish Association of Teachers in Special Education conference in Dublin.

IGS Deputy Director Amy Johnson, who is a professor of nursing and veteran study abroad leader, will answer questions and will work one-on-one with workshop participants to assist them in completing the proposal process.

There are two dates for the same workshop:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 16 — Noon to 1 p.m., Rollins Conference Room, Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Jastak-Burgess Hall; and
  • Tuesday, Oct. 22 — 2 to 3 p.m., IGS Conference Room, Elliott Hall.

For more information, contact the IGS at 831-2852.
